The Valleys - tell us what you think (From South Wales Argus)

people up the valleys and in newport (which is no different now to a run down valleys town just better located ) should look on the bright side where ever they move to in the future it will always be an improvement.

Since when has Cardiff been in The Valleys, MTV want to check their maps me thinks. Car crash TV at it worse.

Chris227...don't tell me you are a townie...god bless you...SWA I didn't see the programme...seen a few of them being interviewed some weeks back and that was enough to turn most people off..These morons should never have been allowed in front of the camera...lets hope it will die a death never to be seen again...

We're so good at faux disgust aren't we! Look, it's a reality show on a teenagers' channel ie designed for the "I'm mad i am" brigade... all of whom will be delighted that older people are shaking their fingers at it. The worst thing you can do is give it extra credibility by registering disgust.

That merely results in the news coverage (= higher ratings = the fame they want) that we're currently commenting on!

Life's too short to spend it getting angry over things we have no control over; a reaction that only helps the producers of such shows.

My suggestion: ignore it. Say nothing. Turn over. Go spend time with the family.

People actually get paid for churning this stuff out.......

Will probably go down well in parts of England and will be used as a factual add-on to the sheep and cave-dweller jibes that the people of Wales have been branded with for so long.
Let's hope that their TV ratings fall to zero and is consigned to the dust bin along with its producers and cast.

Well well. I moved my family from the Valley's over five years ago because of scum just like this. The valley's has always had a bad name, even townies from Newport and Cardiff have for a long time looked down their noses at folk from the Valley's.
It has been a very, very long time since I was proud to be from the Valley's, I am ashamed to even still have the accent. Miners worked hard not so long long ago and they deserved pride, the scum that live in the ASBO generation of the Valley's deserve to have nothing. It is a shame as the hard working people of the Valley's have now been tarred with he same brush as this scum. I should not imagine that the dirty chav's that are on this show will ever work again. I know I wold not employ any of them. Nice work, not only have you shamed yourselves, you have shamed the Welsh Valley's too.

Don't like it - don't watch it!! laugh it off -right now there's a lot bigger things to worry about.

I would hope that its audience realise this but I dont hold out much hope

having worked once in llantrisant most of the stereo types in the programme are true but hey it was a good laugh working there. I learnt lots of new swear words and a run down every morning of what the ladies got up to in the bedroom last night.

Watched the first one one as its supposedly in Wales but it could be anywhere.

Just low-life scum degrading themselves for cash. You'd expect their family and friends to tell them how disgusting it is but based on the language of the chav mum and the dad with the shotguns probably shows where these idiots come from.

Oh - and do the production staff put that on their CV ? setting up brain dead fools and picking out the worst bits (like Bouncers) just for ratings ? was all that training for a media career really worthwhile ?

...and like all the similar programmes its BORING, nothing happened. Not funny, sexy, clever, interesting - not anything. Don't bother watching and just maybe TV channels will get the message.

Brilliant just Brilliant.. So a bunch of actors are pretending to be fecklessly promiscuous chav's trying to earn the respect of there peers? Or did MTV hire some Call Girls and Rent Boys?

The Dalek's are not up to much these days, you couldn't even kill Rory' in that Dalek prison and now they think MTV is entertainment..

Must admit I've never watched anything on MTV and have no intention of watching this Big Brother mark 2..
