Police film appeal after Monmouth crash
GWENT Police have appealed for people who may have filmed a car driven erratically through Monmouth town centre that was later involved in an accident.
The appeal comes after a black Mercedes was driven through the town yesterday morning and was involved in an accident in the Wye Bridge area at around 9.20am.
After being driven through the town, the car stopped outside the One Stop Shop on Monnow Street at around 9.45am. The two men in the car got out and went into the Kings Head Public House.
A 41-year-old man from the Worcester area has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and dangerous driving and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Police would like anyone with information, specifically people who are known to have filmed the car on Monnow Street as it came to a stop, to get in touch with them and call them on 101.
