THE man found dead at a house in Cwmbran on Friday has been named as 42-year-old Jeremy Vaughan.
Mr Vaughan, who was of no fixed address but had recently lived in the Newport area, was found dead at an address in Maendy Way, Pontnewydd.
Police were called to the property at around 10am on Friday where Mr Vaughan's body was found.
A 39-year-old man from the Cwmbran area was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody after police were granted further time to question him.
The cause of Mr Vaughan's death is yet to be established after a post mortem examination proved inconclusive. Further tests will now be carried out. Police are appealing for anyone with any information to call 101.
