Police say they were called to 'disturbance'

GWENT Police confirmed they received a report of a disturbance at an address on Llanover Street, Abercarn at around 9.30 this morning.  

Officers found a woman who was uninjured and are now trying to find a man, who is known to the woman, to help with their enquiries.


EYEWITNESSES are reporting armed police and the police helicopter in the West End area of Abercan. Have you seen anything?

Still loads of rumours flying around, but nobody knows for sure! The two main rumours are the Nat Pennar in armed robbery and a man attacking his partner with an axe! But not sure which is right, but whatever it was, all is quiet now, helicopter, dog unit and armed response cars have gone.

This incident, as well as a suicide in Abercarn yesterday and the Argus reports on neither.

Let's have a story about a washed up "pop star" playing for the third team of a no-mark football team instead.

No wonder local rags are dying on their backsides.
