KIND-hearted junior footballers have shown their support for the missing Machynlleth schoolgirl April Jones.
Players from Cwmcarn under-14s wanted to show their support for the missing five-year-old’s family, so decided on their way home from school on Friday that they would wear pink for their match on Saturday.
April’s family had asked people to wear pink, her favourite colour, as a show of support.
As they couldn’t find enough ribbon late in the day one of the boy’s mum’s, Anne-Marie Croker, knitted her son, Jordan, a pink armband with April’s name embroidered on it.
Four of the team sported the bands.
