Firefighters tackle Newport tyre fire

Fire crew at the scene of the blaze
FIRE crews were called to a Newport garage after a tyre fire started this afternoon.
Black smoke could be seen billowing from the Auto Super Tune garage on Lower Dock Street and South Wales Fire and Rescue were called shortly after 3.30pm.
Three fire engines and a hydraulic platform attended and quickly put out the fire on the small number of tyres.
Firefighters left the scene at 3.42pm.
