Gethin Inspires a Turn Around.

Eight year old Gethin and family travel all the way from Swansea reagularly to support Newport RFC. The family have Newport roots and several generations on, still travel east to support their team.

After an indifferent weekend, Newport's cup hopes were dashed at quarter final stage and an indifferent performance in a local derby saw their league title chances slipping away also. We asked young Gethin to put some inspiration into the team and the rest is history, as Newport chalked up another bonus point win to still challenge for silverware.

Gethin chose the other Gethin (Robinson) as his favourite. It's great to see the front row receiving some recognition. The two were photographed together before Gethin and captain Andy Coombs lead out the team.
