Alexandra Morgan, 30, of Beechwood, Newport, is a former Miss Heart of Wales and community fundraiser for cancer charity Tenovus.

If you had to be stuck in a lift with someone, who would it be and why?

My best friend, Nikki Elliott – she makes every situation fun, and would make light of being stuck in a lift. I am sure we would giggle our way through it as we do in every other tricky situation.

What is your biggest fear?

That a cure for cancer is never found. Cancer affects so many of us, and has touched the lives of many of my friends and family and I am so proud to be working for a charity, Tenovus, that not only researches a cure for cancer but also supports those affected by cancer within our Welsh communities.

Do you have any superstitions?

I won’t walk on three drains and always salute magpies.

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

“Halo” by Beyonce – I lost my Mum to cancer and this was our song. I always think of her when I hear it.

What is the most expensive thing you’ve bought, not including property?

I don’t often indulge in expensive items for myself. However, I have just bought my own house. The most expensive item I own is a TAG watch which was a gift from my boyfriend.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

Advice from my Mum – always be yourself, no matter what.

What is your indulgence?

Wine. Whether it be socialising with friends and family, relaxing at home, or enjoying a night with my boyfriend, wine is more often than not involved.

What item could you not live without?

My make-up bag. Every girl needs to feel her best.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

Not to be such a worrier. I always think the worst of any situation and I would like to start being more open to optimism.

Where are you next going on holiday?

Last week I arrived back from Abu Dhabi supporting my boyfriend in a golf tournament – we managed to get Tiger Woods to sign a golf shirt to auction for Tenovus. My next trip will be to Cyprus with my grandparents – they go every year and I love spending time with them.
