MORE arrests have been made following a major drugs operation that took place in Newport.

Around 200 officers carried out dawn raids on Wednesday, April 26 at addresses across Newport

28 people who have now been arrested in connection with the operation, and 24 people from the Newport area have now been charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

A Gwent Police spokeswoman said: "We're still looking to speak to 36 year old Denny Evan Roberts. If anyone has any information that could help with this investigation, please call 101 quoting log 141 26/4/17."

The following people - all from the Newport area - have been charged, remanded in custody and are due to appear at Newport Crown Court on June 9:

Leighton Henson, 22.

Adil Hussain Ali, 18.

Liam Taylor, 18.

Daniel Sullivan, 30.

David Rustham Allen, 24.

Tasleem Mohammed, 30.

Lee Nagy, 30.

Curtis Hooper, 18.

Lawrence Henson, 24.

Shane Edwards, 51.

Gareth Milcallef, 31.

Adnan Ali, 20.

Jason Inker, 40.

Nigel Davies, 51.

Marc Wainfur, 37.

The following teenagers - also from the Newport area - were charged. They have all appeared at Cwmbran Youth Court and have been released on bail. They are all due to appear again on May 25.

A 13-year-old boy.

A 15-year-old boy.

Two 16-year-old boys.

A 39-year-old man has been charged, with possession of Class A drugs only and has been released on bail until sentencing August 8.

A 21 year old man has been arrested, charged and remanded into custody to appear before court.

A 19-year-old man has been charged and bailed.

A 60-year-old woman been charged and bailed pending further enquiries.

The following person was charged, remanded but later released and ordered to pay a £295 fine.

Three men were released without charge.
