If you had to be stuck in a lift with someone, who would it be and why?

It would have to be somebody who could make me laugh – Paul Merton perhaps, or Vic Reeves.

Time would pass quickly.

What is your biggest fear?

Finding myself stuck in a boring office job again – life’s too short!

Do you have any superstitions?

As I was born on the 13th, I take these things with a pinch of salt (oh...is that one?)

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

Bridge over Troubled Water by Simon & Garfunkel. I’ve loved Art’s voice and Paul’s lyrics since the 1970’s.

What is the most expensive thing you’ve bought, not including property?

Until recently, I had a vegetarian catering trailer that I took to summer music festivals. That cost a pretty penny!

What is the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

“Feel the fear – and do it anyway”.

I’ve always been prepared to take a risk, but I hope I’m sensible too!

What is your indulgence?

Er, Hollyoaks, followed by Emmerdale. That’s an hour a day I won’t get back!

What item could you not live without?

My little dog died last month, after 18 years of companionship. I’m going to have to get another dog soon, the house is too quiet!

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I get really frustrated with my age-related shortsightedness – I can’t read a thing without glasses, so I’d correct that.

Where are you next going on holiday?

Hey, I’ve just opened a cafe – I don’t foresee any holidays for quite some time!
