My wife Jo and kids Olivia, Phoebe and Finlay because I never spend enough time with them!

Not being around to see my kids grow up.

Do you have any superstitions?

No superstitions but a light dusting of OCD which does involve a lot of tidying up and the turning off of lights, power switches etc.

My wife’s engagement ring!!

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

It’s a toss-up between ‘You cannot please all of the people all of the time so don’t beat yourself up trying to’ and ‘To know the value of something is greater than to know the price’.

What’s your indulgence?

A Marlboro Light and a glass of ice-cold Sauvignon Blanc after a busy night’s service.

What item could you not live without?

Like most people today I rely on my phone too much so I would probably struggle without it, although I wouldn’t go as far to say that I couldn’t live without it.

I would like a greater ability to relax and not be so conscientious and uptight about too many things.

We are having a week at the end of August in St David’s with Jo’s two sisters, their husbands and each of their three children. Can’t wait.
