HUNDREDS of staff, who work for Newport County sponsor Acorn Group, will be boarding coaches for Wembley today.

Acorn, which has been the club's main sponsor for more than 13 years, offered its 272 staff the chance to travel to Wembley for free by covering the costs of transport and tickets to the game.

It has also allowed employees to each bring two friends or family members who have paid £15 each towards the total cost.

The company had such a demand that it has had to hire three coaches for the trip.

There are also Acorn staff members travelling to the game from north Wales and south west England.

Acorn and Newport County have a strong link through the company's founder Matt Southall who has supported the Exiles since he was a child.

The "Manx Massive" consisting of dad Roy Beale and his daughters Sian, ten, and Cerys, eight, will travel from the Isle of Man for the game.

Mr Beale, 53, who is orginally from Stow Hill, will not go unnoticed, promising to wear an oversized orange hat complete with County rosette, accompanied by his daughters who will be wearing matching black and orange wigs.
