EISTEDDFOD: Daredevil activities on the Maes
1:20pm Thursday 5th August 2010 in Eisteddfod 2010

HANGING IN THERE: Argus reporter Laura Evans
THE industrial heritage of the site is plain for all to see and there is a novel, albeit brief, way to get a glimpse of the past while on the Maes.
Bryn Bach Park activity centre have set up a 100ft zip wire suspended 30ft above one of the old steelworks basements.
Myself and fellow Argus reporter Laura Evans both thought it would be a great way to get a different take on what’s going on at the Maes.
Being the gentleman I am, and nothing to do with the butterflies in my stomach, I let her go first. Laura’s howls of delight were a better illustration of the fun we both had than my stony-faced stoicism, but it’s a great and different thing for kids and adults to try their hand at.
