Lib Dem candidate for St Albans SANDY WALKINGTON, 56, lives in Welwyn village, and has three children. Brought up in Scotland and Cheltenham, he graduated from Cambridge University, and qualified as a barrister. He has worked as a speech writer for the Liberal Party and in public relations for Texaco, British Telecom and Transport For London. A father-of-three, he has been a St Albans district councillor, and stood as Liberal/SDP Alliance General Election candidate for St Albans in 1983 and 1987. He has a strong interest in environmental issues.
