Josh Knapman takes a look at what your wardrobe needs to get you through the spring and summer...

As spring is in full swing and summer approaches, it’s good to get the right look.
The main themes coming through for spring and summer collections are greys and baggy bottoms.
With both trousers and shirts offering a more slouched fit, it should be easy to relax in these comfy clothes that are still on trend.

South Wales Argus:

Baggy is better
For the bottom half of your outfits – especially when wearing more formal clothes – opt for a more relaxed fit. Whereas the last few years have all been about skinny jeans and slim-fit suit trousers, this year will embrace the baggy, like these trousers (from Topman).

South Wales Argus:

Shirt style
Stock up on fifties-style shirts (Topman). As a general rule, these will be short-sleeved, printed and a little bit oversized (the baggy theme really is coming through this year). The good thing about these shirts is that as the days get warmer, the short sleeves will be really appreciated.

South Wales Argus:

Go grey
The colour for the upcoming sunny season is grey. Try mixing up different shades in one outfit to really make the looks work well. A multi-tonal grey shirt (F&F, £12) will help kick start the outfit and will lend itself well to the fifties shirt look, too. Alternatively try an oversized plain grey T-shirt (River Island, £12) if you’re leaning more towards the baggy trend.

South Wales Argus:

Look the bomb
For those evenings in the sun, when it just starts to get a bit chilly, you’re going to want a lightweight coat. Bomber jackets (House of Fraser, £170) are making a comeback and are perfect for the summer beer gardens when the warm evenings start getting a little colder.

South Wales Argus:

White knight
If you’re feeling particularly brave, you could suit up in white, following the lead of the Dark Knight himself, Ben Affleck and co-star Henry Cavill at the premiere of Batman V Superman: The Dawn of Justice. The duo accidently both wore similar suits to the event but worked it well. If you’re feeling brave enough to try out a white summer suit (Burton, Jacket £80, Trousers £40) you’ll be in super company.
