REGULAR CLASSES AT THE CWTSH: Cwtsh holds regular classes in Creative Writing, Ukulele, French and Welsh plus a regular Welsh language pop-up bookshop on Saturday mornings.
CHILDREN’S LIBRARY AT THE CWTSH: The Cwtsh Children’s Library is run by volunteers and open on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons with a wide and varied selection of books available to borrow free during term time. Doors open from 3pm to 4.30pm.
CWTSH NEEDS YOU!: CWTSH is always on the lookout for fresh volunteers to join the dedicated band already committed to making the Cwtsh Arts Centre a resounding success. If you feel you would like to be involved and help Cwtsh achieve even greater heights, please get in touch.
We are also actively seeking to add to our programme of day and evening classes so if you, or anyone else, you know is willing and able to run any kind of class, German, for example, or organise a weekly photography club, perhaps, or, maybe, hire a room, contact: info@cwtsh.org or ring 01633 668425. ART AT THE CWTSH - CONCENTRIC ART EXHIBITION: An exhibition by nine women artists opened at the Cwtsh on Friday February 24 to much critical acclaim and will run until Sunday March 26. Opening hours are: Thursday 12pm to 3pm, Saturday 12.30pm to 3pm and Sunday 1pm to 4pm. Entry is free.
This exhibition features work by Jacqueline Alkema, Adeola Dewis, Zoe Gingell, Penny Hallas, Leona Jones, Kay Keogh, Lucy Thomas, Tessa Waite and Sheila Vyas. Their work is informed by ‘day to day’ experiences, rituals, responses to life, loss and longevity, memories, natural phenomena, everyday interactions between people and the human condition and is well worth a visit.
WALKS FROM THE CWTSH: Cwtsh representatives have been in touch with Walk Newport and it is hoped to resume walks from The Cwtsh sometime in March.
