DINNER: The Royal Welsh Comrades Association City of Newport branch held their Annual Dinner and Dance at the Masonic Hall, Dock Street, Newport, on March 4 with members and their wives joining friends and guests for a excellent evening of good food and good wine.
Following the Branch Standard being paraded in by branch member Basil Woods and received by the branch President Colonel Brian John CBE, following grace and the exhortation along with the royal toast, as well as the traditional toasts, an excellent dinner was served for all to enjoy.
The entertainment was provided by the young sister duo known as The Pashy Pops who with their unique style of singing and comedy took us back to the forties and the fifties.
The branch would like to thank Graham Smith who once again acted as compere throughout the evening, to Cliff Farley and Cliff Price for selling the raffle tickets and to all the branch members who helped organising the whole evening.
