CELEBRATION: Derek and Dorothy Manfield recently celebrated their Diamond Wedding Anniversary.
They were married in St Mellons Church, Cardiff, on March 23, 1957.
Derek aged 83 and Dorothy, aged 78, have been landlord and landlady of three Newport pubs: the Friendship Inn, Old Oak Stave and Ponthir House before retiring in 1992.
Derek enjoys supporting his beloved Cardiff Blues and Wales rugby teams, whilst Dorothy enjoys spending time with her family grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also a member of the Christchurch Floral Group.
Since retiring the couple have enjoyed many holiday around the world together and spending times with their two children, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
They say their secret to a long marriage is being able to laugh with and at each other, enjoying life, not taking it for granted and being thankful for good health and happiness.
