ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING: Soroptimist International Cwmbran held a very successful meeting recently.
President Paddy Landers handed on the insignia to incoming president Pat Forward.
Pat handed on the necklace for the president elect to Ann Hodgson.
New president Pat presented Paddy with a past president’s badge and thanked her for her year of office.
Paddy thanked members for their support through the past year and wished Pat every success for the coming year.
New president Pat thanked members for electing her to the office and was sure that she could count on their support for the coming year.
Cheques for £900 each were presented to John Williams trustee of ALLHIM charity and Kris Broome director of fundraising of St David’s Hospice Care.
Both representatives gave an update of their charities to the meeting.
The evening finished with a convivial meal.
