ROTARY: After the end of a very successful year as president of the Rotary Club of Pontllanfraith, Dr John James, passes over the reins to Allan Martin for the rotary year 2017/2018.
In John’s year the club was able to work with the local primary and secondary schools. Many of you will be familiar with the young musician, young writer, young technologist and youth speaks competitions that we run annually.
In December we organised the tour of Santa’s sleigh and in June we took youngsters on a Kids Out day to Barry Island.
We have also helped over 40 local and international charities. This was only possible due to the support and generosity of the local community. John and all members would like to thank everyone in the local area for their kind support throughout the year.
We look forward to another successful rotary year under the leadership of Allan.
