HARTRIDGE HIGH: Plans for the new school at Hartridge are well on the way to be finalised.
The site where the new school will be built is on the existing school playing fields with the three existing school buildings being demolished to make way for the new sports facilities.
The school will be a community based school with additional facilities, such as a sports hall, that will be available for community use.
The proposal for the new school building is that it will house 1,450 youngsters from 11-18. The present school is now beginning to show its age with parts of the school suffering from concrete cancer.
ALWAY POST OFFICE: Back in April the post office at Alway Parade was closed down. However residents will now be pleased to hear that it will reopen on the November 5 and it will cover the normal wide range of services.

A plea also goes out for any donations of tins or bottles for the Tombola stall and any gifts for the craft stall or raffle.
If you have a few hours to spare and want to help a deserving cause this would be greatly appreciated by the organisers.
