THIEVES targetting cars parked outside a group of Newport hotels struck seven times last week.
Alway police say seven cars were broken into at the car parks of the Hilton hotel, Holiday Inn and Celtic Manor Resort within seven days.
Thieves made off with satellite navigation systems, CDs and car radios.
Officers say cars outside these hotels have been targetted increasingly since the beginning of January, but matters reached a peak last week.
They are reminding motorists not to leave anything of value in their parked cars, and particularly not within view.
