FOOTBALL AND CRICKET ACADEMIES: Following the recent success of Hartridge's Academy football team in retaining for the fourth successive year the Welsh Schools Under 18 Cup and the Welsh Schools and Colleges Under 19 Cup, it was great to see this week that the Cricket Academy played at Millfield, England's top sporting school, and had a convincing victory when they beat Millfield's 1st XI.
Batting first Millfield were bowled out for 179 runs, with Hartridge knocking off that total for the loss of only two wickets.
Mr Mike Knight, head of sixth form and cricket coach, was delighted with this resounding eight-wicket victory over Millfield.
