Pupils at two Torfaen schools filled 35 sacks during a litter pick in their local area. Forty two pupils from West Mon school took an hour to fill 25 sacks of litter but also filled 11 sacks with cans and bottles for recycling.
Nine pupils from Pontymoile primary school filled ten sacks of litter in an hour.
Torfaen Council, in conjunction with Keep Wales Tidy and Torfaen Time to Engage Youth Project worked with the two schools, as part of Tidy Wales Week.
