New Inn woman's 11,000ft skydive for children’s hospital

‘TERROR’: Cwmbran cafe owner Susan Reed completed a skydive in aid of Noah’s Ark Appeal
A CAFE owner did an 11,000ft skydive in aid of the Noah’s Ark Appeal.
Susan Reed, 51, from New Inn, raised more than £650 through sponsorship for the charity, which fundraises for the Children’s Hospital for Wales.
Ms Reed, who owns Sitting Pretty Cafe, in Cwmbran Shopping, completed the skydive at Redlands Air Field, Swindon, on October 6 after being encouraged by a friend.
Ms Reed said: “It was a terrifying but exhilarating experience. Knowing I was doing it for such a worthy charity definitely made it easier.”
She added: “I chose the Noah Ark’s Appeal as I heard a campaign on the radio a few years ago where a teenager explained how difficult it was telling her friends that she was ill. The story has always stayed with me.
“It’s a fantastic charity which makes a difference.
The majority of donations came from my loyal customers.
It’s a testament to the community.”

Well done! I dont suppose we would ever see that old light on the feet blogger "erastus piggott" ever doing anything for such a worthy cause! Does anyone know why the erastus piggott blog was shut down?

There once was a po faced blogger called Piggott,
who was a hasbeen and an old nasty bigot,
He attacked white people for simply no reason,
then accused brit flag wavers, of high treason,
A posionous blog, full of old c.ock and bull,
and supported by small minded morons and fools,
But the blog is no more, it has gone!,
because good minded people fought back with Ron!,
So say good bye to old Erastus Piggott,
the once resident, local Newspaper bigot!.

...yes i heard something along those lines 'g.p.r.' those poor travellers - being insulted like that by erastus piggott - those gypsy curses can last a very long time so i have been informed!! oh dear... poor 'ol erastus the failed blogger!! ...yup, see you on the sooper soaraway sun - but there's a story about a mother with two children on the daily wail i just have to leave some comments on - and red and green arrow the other comments!! laters.
