ALL birds have been removed from the Tesco store in Newport after customers raised concerns.
The initial bird entered the Tesco Extra store on December 28 and was trapped inside the store for five days before its release.
Shortly after, a second bird entered the store on Cardiff Road, causing concern to shoppers that days later it was the same Pied Wagtail that had been spotted before the new year.
Rentokil were used to safely release the second bird last week.
One concerned shopper was Caroline Parker who refused to eat in the store alter spotting the initial distressed bird flying around the restaurant in the store eating scraps of food.
A Tesco spokeswoman said: "We always aim to safely remove any birds that have found their way into our stores, whilst maintaining our high standards of hygiene. We were glad to see these birds released back into the wild."
