Snow adds extra magic to Newport couple's wedding

FOR one Newport couple the recent deluge of snow added a touch of magic to their special day.

Andrew Martin, 28, and his wife, Leanne, 24, from Bettws, Newport, were married on Saturday at the city’s Mansion House, followed by a reception at Tredegar Park Golf Club.

More than 65 guests braved the snow to turn out for their special day, and although some could not make it, others were happy to step in as last-minute guests.

Mr Martin said: “It was a really good day, everyone enjoyed themselves.

The guests threw snowballs at us while we were having our pictures taken, I don’t think the photographer was too impressed!

“The snow made the day before a bit tense, but the day itself was brilliant.”
