TWO more people have been arrested on suspicion of murder by police investigating the disappearance of 24-year-old Kyle Vaughan from Newbridge.

A 27-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man both from the Cwmfelinfach area are currently in custody.

The last believed sighting of Kyle was on the A467 between Risca and Crosskeys, some time between 11pm and 11.45pm on Sunday December 30th 2012. It is believed he was wearing a dark coloured beanie hat, a dark coloured t-shirt, ¾ length denim shorts, white trainers, and a gold chain.

On the same night at approximately 11.45pm, officers found Kyle's car – a silver Peugeot 306 – which had been involved in a collision although it is not known whether he was driving it.

Senior investigating officer Detective Superintendent Peter Jones said:

"We want to take this opportunity to appeal for anyone who was on the A467 that night, specifically between Risca and Crosskeys, to try to remember whether they saw anything unusual no matter how small. Kyle was dressed quite distinctively for the weather that night so would have been noticeable if he was out in the cold.

"Eight people have been arrested during the course of the investigation; we are committed to finding out what happened to Kyle that night and since and we wont stop until all avenues and lines of enquiry have been exhausted"

Anyone who has any information about Kyle's disappearance is asked to contact Gwent Police on 101. Information can also be passed on with complete anonymity via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
