THE power of the water at Cwmcarn Forest could be harnessed to provide a green source of revenue for Caerphilly council.
The council has established there is an opportunity to generate hydroelectricity from the Nant Carn watercourse at Cwmcarn Forest.
Feasibility studies indicated the site had potential for generating hydroelectricity, and flow monitoring has confirmed viability. Further studies and funding will be needed to take the project forward.
