THREE people have been cut free from a car which has left the road near Abergavenny.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were sent to what is locally known as Fiddler's Elbow, in the Govilon area, following reports that the vehicle had gone down a bank.

The crash happened at around 12pm and ambulance crews are still in attendance.

A spokeswoman for South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said crews from Ebbw Vale, Abergavenny, and specialist teams from Malpas, Lydney and Coleford helped to stabilise the vehicle, which was on its side.

The condition of the occupants is not yet known, according to a Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman.
