Three men charged with Spytty McDonald's stabbing

THREE man will appear in court tomorrow charged with causing grevious bodily harm after a man was stabbed at a McDonald's restaurant in Newport.

A 30-year-old man from Bristol was taken to the city's Royal Gwent Hospital after suffering a single stab wound in his leg. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The incident happened at the fast food outlet at Newport Retail Park, Spytty, around 6.15pm on Friday. It was open as usual on Saturday.

Three man aged 46, 22, and 20 all from the Somerton area, were charged with causing grevious bodily harm yesterday (SUN).

They will appear at Cwmbran Magistrates' Court this morning.

A 23-year-old man from Duffryn and a 24-year-old man from Lliswerry, also arrested in connection with the incident have been bailed pending further enquiries.
