Cwmbran pair arrested on suspicion of baby murder have bail date extended
2:27pm Thursday 28th February 2013 in Gwent news
TWO people arrested on suspicion of the murder of a one-month old baby have had their bail extended.
The Argus reported in November how a 43-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman from Cwmbran were arrested on suspicion of the murder of Amelia Jones.
Police were called to a house in Waun Hywel Road, Pontnewydd, on November 17 by ambulance staff. Amelia was taken to Newport's Royal Gwent Hospital and transferred to Cardiff's University Hospital of Wales. She died on November 19.
A Gwent Police spokeswoman said the man and woman are now due to answer bail later in the year.
