Newport Ministry of Justice staff will take calls for Red Nose Day

MINISTRY of Justice staff in Newport will be giving up their evening on Friday to take donation calls for Red Nose Day.

Ministry of Justice shared services, based at Celtic Springs Business Park, will be one of the official donation line contact centres for the fundraising evening on March 15.

Following their success supporting Sport Relief 2012, more than 60 staff will volunteer their own time to take donations from the general public at their Phoenix House office in Newport. They plan to work up until midnight answering calls from across the UK to help raise money to help disadvantaged people all over the world. Last year staff answered more than 1,500 calls during the evening for Sport Relief, amounting to an incredible total of £47,000 worth of donations.

They also made Sport Relief history by not loosing a single call on the night.
