Poster art wins a new bike for Torfaen pupil

A LUCKY St Albans RC High School pupil has won a new bike, lights and helmet and £100 for her school after winning the Argus’ Brighter Bikes competition.

Cerys Cawkwell, 13, won the 12-16 age category of the competition after designing a poster encouraging children to light up their bikes at night.

Her winning poster, pictured, used the slogan “Think Bright, Use a Light”, and won her a new bike worth £150 plus kit to keep her safe on the road.

Daffydd Rowberry, ten, who attends Eveswell Primary School in Newport, also won a bike and both earned £100 each for their schools in the competition, which was run in conjunction with Western Power Distribution.
