THREE people arrested in connection with the disappearance of Newbridge man Kyle Vaughan have had their police bail extended.

A 27-year-old man from Blackwood arrested on suspicion of murder, a 21-year-old man from Newbridge arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and a 62-year-old man from Newbridge arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice were all due to answer bail yesterday.

But now all three have been granted further bail pending further enquiries until September 9.

Police launched a murder investigation after a silver Peugeot 306 belonging to 24-year-old Mr Vaughan was found on the A467 between Risca and Crosskeys on December 30 last year.

Since then a total of eight people have been arrested in connection with the incident.

Three other people arrested on suspicion of murder as well as a woman arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and a 15-year-old boy arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender are all due to answer bail this week.
