FOUR weeks after her disappearance, the family of missing Newport teenager Nida Naseer have released an emotional video appeal for the 18-year-old to come home.
In the video posted on YouTube, Nida’s father Naseer Tahir, her mother Najma Tahir and sister Shamyla Naseer appeal for her to get in touch. Her family’s plight is all the more desperate as it will be Nida’s 19th birthday tomorrow.
Nida was last seen at her home on Linton Street in Pill, Newport, at around 8pm on Saturday December 28th. Nida is of Asian-Pakistani appearance and has long dark hair, is slim and is five feet three inches tall. She was last known to be wearing blue jeans and a black top.
Despite numerous appeals, extensive local searches and enquiries including house to house, leaflet drops and CCTV enquiries, Nida has not been found.
Police say a team of officers continue to work on the investigation.
If anyone has information about Nida’s whereabouts they are asked to call 101.
