A ROGERSTONE family has welcomed its fifth generation with the birth of baby Kaiden.
The family consists of George McGregor, 92, his daughter, Janet Jones, 72, grand-daughter, Liz Heath, 46, great grandson, Matthew Heath, 23, and great-great grandson, Kaiden Lewys Heath, ten- weeks-old.
The patriarch of the family, Mr McGregor was originally from Scotland until he moved to Rogerstone when he met his wife Phillis while they both served in the RAF.
Mr McGregor worked at the former Alcan factory in Rogerstone for a number of years. Liz Heath said: “Kaiden is my first grandchild. It’s quite an achievement to have five generations, you don’t hear much of them. I hear of four generations but not the fifth one. Mrs Heath has another son Michael, 19, who’s currently studying at college.
Kaiden was born on December 3 and weighed 6lbs 1oz.
