A DOG groomer hopes it will be a case of seventh time lucky in this year’s X Factor.
Chelsie Cadman, 20, of Bettws, Newport, has been auditioning every year since the annual singing competition lowered its age limit to 14, and got through the first round of auditioning held in the city last week.
She was the last of 68 people to audition for two producers in the Kingsway Centre last Friday, and was the ninth person to proceed to the next round of try-outs.
Ms Cadman, who works at Canine Corner in Spytty and sang Spectrum by Florence and the Machine and aptly-named Ex-Factor by Lauryn Hill, said: “I was shaking so much but they said ‘yes’.”
She will now audition in Cardiff on Friday for a chance of going before Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole.
