THE owner of a bulldog found struggling to walk and covered in sores and engine oil is being hunted by the RSPCA.

The badly injured British bulldog was found wandering outside the Cwmcrachen traveller site in Nantyglo by a member of the public on Wednesday 9 April 2014.

She was very thin, weak and her back end was covered in engine oil.

Inspector Emma Smith said: “This poor dog was in a bad way when we picked her up. She was skinny, lethargic and had suffered a lot of fur loss possibly because of an untreated skin condition. She had a lot of painful red sores and mysteriously was covered in oil. Her teats were enlarged possibly because she’s given birth recently. “She wasn’t microchipped or wearing a collar but she is a lovely, friendly dog and has a very distinctive colour, so I am hopeful that someone will recognise her”.

Anyone with information can call the Inspector’s information line in complete confidence on 0300 123 8018 and leave a message for Inspector Smith.
