PEOPLE in the Malpas area of Newport are to be included in a scheme aimed at helping to discourage unwanted cold callers.
Signs have been posted around the Woodlands to indicate it is now a new cold calling control zone.
Breaches of the zones can be reported to trading standards, who can then contact businesses asking them to refrain from doing it again.
The Argus reported last January that the city then had four cold calling zones. The council said it had received no complaints of breaches of the zones in the previous three years.
