EBBW Vale food artist Nathan Wyburn recently appeared on the Paul O’Grady show to show the star his latest portrait made of dog food.

The 24-year-old has recently announced his work will feature in a 300-page book as part of a book deal with South Wales publisher, Candy Jar publishing..

Mr Wyburn showed Paul O’Grady a portrait of him made out of dog biscuits.

He said: “One of the members of his team had seen some of my work in the past on YouTube and they asked if I could make a portrait of Paul using dog biscuits and I thought that it would be great for my book.

“It was quite funny - Paul made a joke about how I had too much time on my hands.”

The book will feature an ‘eclectic mix’ of the artists artworks along with his new creations between now and August, and Mr Wyburn believes he is just 30 artworks away from completion.

He said the book will also be partly autobiographical and is set for an October release.

The book is yet to be named but Mr Wyburn is working on a big idea for the cover, hoping to break some kind of world record in his art to show on the front.

Also on the show was the artist's idol – singer Anastacia, who had posted Mr Wyburn’s YouTube time lapse drawing of her to her social media pages a few months back saying that she loved his talent.

“She was on the show talking about her new album and I bumped into her in the corridor and when I introduced myself she was like ‘oh my god’ and said that she is interested in me making a portrait of her out of sushi," he added.

“I gave her my drawing and we had a photo together too.

"It was such a great day.”

Alongside this the artist has also been keeping busy filming a segment for the history channels 'Pawn Stars UK' where he took in his Kate and Will Jacobs cream cracker portraits to be sold.

“Sadly they didn’t agree on a deal to purchase them but I was further commissioned by them to make the store owners portrait using coffee," he said.

“On top of this Lorraine Kelly has seen the video of me making her using coffee and said it’s fantastic on twitter.

“It's always great to get stars approval of my work, and great quotes and such for my book which is due for release October containing 100 of my best artworks,” he added.
