Four men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was allegedly stabbed in Rogerstone this morning.

The four men arrested are currently in police custody. Police say the investigation ongoing.

UPDATE: 11.03am

A MAN is in hospital with "life-threatening" injuries after an alleged stabbing in Rogerstone this morning.

Gwent Police said two men have been arrested and are currently in police custody following the incident which happened at around 8.50am this morning at Star Hand Car Wash on Tregwilym Road.

The 39-year-old victim, a man from Newport is receiving treatment in the Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport.
