Wales and West Utilities say they have now restores gas supply to more than 600 homes in the Nantyglo area.
Around 755 properties were left without gas as a result of the impact of a water main that burst on Thursday.
UPDATE: 10.16am
SOME of the Nantyglo homes without gas have had their supply turned back on today.
A spokesman said they had restored gas supply to 540 homes and are that work continues to restore gas supply to the remaining homes today.
The area lost its gas supply after a water main burst on Thursday.
The spokesman said they have removed more than 150,000 litres of water from around 10km of the gas network and are continuing to remove water from where it has gathered at low points.
Residents have been asked to give WWU staff access to their gas meters to turn their gas supply back on. The spokesman said all their workers will be carrying identification.
Washing and showering can still be done at Abertillery Leisure Centre and Ebbw Vale Sports Centre. They are both open from 6.30am to 10pm.
