ORGANISERS of the very first ever Chepstow Stampede charity run at the weekend have said it was such a success that they will consider doing it again.
On Saturday, around 250 people took part in the 5km and 10km races at Piercefield Park in support of Kidney Research.
The two races combined trail running with tough obstacles and went through the surroundings of Chepstow Racecourse, Piercefield Park and sections of the Wye Valley Walk.
Caroline Freiha, deputy general manager at the racecourse, said: “It was brilliant. It went really well and especially great for the first year.
“We’ve had really good feedback from people who said they enjoyed it. We were surprised that we had more people for the 10km race.”
She added: “The charity was pleased with the day but we’re not sure how much money has been raised yet.”
