NEW research has found that the Welsh are best at buying Christmas presents.
The study ‘Get Christmas right this year’ conducted by lastminute.com revealed that the Welsh struggle the least to lie about a present with only 23 per cent of people in Wales finding it difficult to fake a reaction to receiving a present.
The Welsh also rate themselves the highest on a scale of one-ten (ten the best) when it comes to buying presents for loved ones.
Wales also had the lowest number of people who bought a Christmas present knowing the person they were going to give it to would hate it.
The survey, which questioned 2000 adults, also revealed that items the British feared the most when unwrapping a parcel are Christmas jumpers, diet books and finally vouchers for plastic surgery.
Also on the list of bad presents were cartoon socks, tacky ornaments and gaudy ties.
