A CWMBRAN church is to give away 1,100 chocolate eggs to children this Easter.
Members of theVictory Church UK, on Greenforge Way, Springvale, will be taking to the streets of Greenmeadow and Old Cwmbran to provide local children with Easter eggs on Good Friday and Easter Saturday. Around 100 members will be taking part in the Big Easter Give Away.
Pastor Clyde Thomas said: "We are really pleased to have passed our target of 1,000. It's all about spreading a bit of Easter."
The church will be handing out eggs on Good Friday between 1pm and 4pm and on Easter Saturday between 9pm and 12pm. There will also be a fun day at the church on Easter Saturday from 12pm to 3pm which includes a Easter egg hunt, bouncy castle and fairground.
