THE FAMILY of a motorcyclist who died in a crash in Nantyglo have said that he will be "greatly missed".

Wayne Price, aged 43, died after a collision on Chapel Road in Nantyglo at around 6.05pm on Friday, May 22.

His motorbike collided with a car and he died as a result of his injuries.

Neighbours say they rushed to help after the collision, with two people performing CPR on Mr Price.

His family, who are being supported by Family Liaison Officers at this difficult time, have released the following tribute: β€œIn loving memory of Wayne Price, aged 43 years, of Nantyglo. He was extremely loved and hard working.

"No one can describe the grief we are feeling. He will be greatly missed by us all.”

Construction and civil engineering company BAM Buttall Ltd, where Mr Price worked, paid tribute to their former employee.

"A spokesman said: "We are deeply sorry to hear of Wayne's untimely death.

"We as an employer express our condolences and sympathies to his immediate family."

Tributes have also been paid to Mr Price on the South Wales Argus Facebook page.

Debra King said: "RIP Wayne, such a lovely guy."

The car driver involved in the collision, a 19-year-old man from the Cardiff area, was uninjured. He was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been bailed pending further enquiries.

Officers continue to appeal for anyone who may have witnessed the collision to call 101 quoting log 401 22/05/15.
