Man accused of punching taxi driver
A 24-YEAR-OLD is accused of punching a taxi driver in the face and stealing money from him at around 11.35pm on Thursday night.
Police said they had arrested the local man on suspicion of robbery after the alleged theft in Cwmbran and he remains in custody.
They said the man took a taxi at the Maynes going towards to Ty Gwyn Way in the Fairwater area.
The taxi driver did not require any medical treatment.
