The fire service received a call from a woman at 6.21pm yesterday. Crews from Maindee and Malpas attended the site on Lady Hill Road in Alway where they found an 11-year-old boy stuck in a pipe.
Firefighters cut him free and he suffered no injuries, according to a South Wales Fire and rescue service spokeswoman.
