THE body of a man found on marshland in Sandown on the Isle of Wight on Wednesday has been officially identified as that of missing Blaina man Michael Davies.
Mr Davies, 71, known as Mike to his family, from Blaina was on holiday on the island with his wife, when he went missing on May 26.
His next of kin have now been informed.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said: "The death is not being treated as suspicious at this time. A post mortem examination is taking place and police are preparing a file for the coroner.
"Mike's family, along with Hampshire Constabulary, would like to thank the public for all their assistance in the search for him."
